Different to a classic program, Authentic Luang Prabang Tour is an other way to explore Luang Prabang. Sightseeings are combined with many activities such as cycling city tour, driving scooter to elephant village, elephant training, treking to remote village, learning about bamboo works in Laos.

Arrival at Luang Prabang international airport, welcomed and get transferred to your hotel for checking-in. 

Welcomed dinner at local restaurant with typical Laos foods. Overnight in hotel.

Morning Option: Around 5h-5h30 in the early morning is the perfect timing to see one of the most sacred Lao traditions, the Buddhist Alms Giving Ceremony. Follow the guidance of the locals by kneeling down ready to give your offering to the monks; most common gifts include rice, fresh fruit and traditional sweet snacks. The idea of the alms giving is for the Buddhist monks to make merit and also to collect food for their one meal of a day.

Your second day tour in Luang Prabang is set out for a cycling tour , which includes stops at important Luang Prabang temples like the Wat Visoun (known as the ‘Watermelon Stupa’ on account of its spherical shape) and Wat Aham.

We’ll also see Wat Xieng Thong, located at the end of peninsular closed to the confluence of Mekong and Khan River.

Then continue to visit Wat Mai, a temple renowned for its golden bas-relief.

In the afternoon, other stops include the National Museum (closed on Tuesdays) and the former Royal Palace, home to a collection of valuables including the famous Prabang Buddha statue as well as gifts received from foreign dignitaries.

Then cycling to the Ban Xang Khong village, where you will learn about silk and Sa paper production process.

You days end with sun set drinks on the bank of Mekong river before transfer back to hotel.

After breakfast, start your third day tour in Laos by taking a scooter to the Elephant Village, a center with a focus on the protection and rehabilitation of elephants in Laos. Upon arrival, you will meet the camp manager and hear about the work carried out by a team of dedicated staff and volunteers in caring for the elephants. Next, climb aboard an elephant for a jungle walk (25mins, one person per elephant, on the neck of the elephant).

Receive your basic mahout training on how to control an elephant just like a mahout! After lunch, Take your own elephant down to the Nam Khan river for an exhilarating and once in a lifetime bathing experience!

After relaxing time at Tad Sea waterfall, transfert by scooter back in town.

On fourth day tour in Laos, after breakfast, you are transfered to visit Phousi Market. This enormous market on the outskirts of town and this one isn't for tourists. It's where the local people buy everything they need on a daily basis. Some of it is inside a huge building, ill-lit apart from the occasional fluorescent strip lighting overhead. 

Then heading to Kuang Si Falls and stop for visit few villages of H’mong and Lao loum people, your guide can introduce you to local people and its great opportunity for you to involving with their daily activities such as wooden cotton spinning, weaving, rice harvesting and green vegetable farms.

On your arrival at the Kuang Si waterfalls, enjoy your short walking on trails of falls to visit the bear rescued centre and main waterfalls with spectacular views and surrounding of orchids inside the park and falls cascade over many calcified tiers and down several hundred feet into a series of cool, turquoise pools.

As we continue onwards the trail leads through tropical and mountainous forest before reaching the ethnic Khmu village of Ban Long Lao. You will be able to observe the lifestyles of these two culturally very different minority groups and see how despite their differences they manage to work together on a day to day basis and even sharing the same school. Transfer back to Luang Prabang.

Picture of Luang Prabang – Kuang Si Falls – Trek to Ban Long Laos 3-4h

Begin your fifth day tour in Laos at The Bamboo Experience (Please arrive there by 8:30am) where you will meet with the rest of your group for an explanation of the traditional and modern uses of bamboo and its significance within Lao culture. Your guide will show and explain to you the uses and importance of many bamboo products that Lao people have been using for hundreds of years as such fishing traps, musical instruments, carry bags, weapons, sticky rice containers, furniture, floor mats and roof thatching etc.

Next you will start your simple bamboo weaving class with a craftsman (but patient!) bamboo weaver, try your hand at the knife sharpening, bamboo cutting (into pieces) and then try the traditional bamboo weaving for about one hour to complete your own drink coaster to take home with, as a souvenir. Then, proceed to the cooking class demonstration (you are free to assist) as such deep fried stuffed bamboo shoot with pork, steam fish & bamboo shoot wrapped in banana leaf, fermented bamboo shoot dipping and sticky rice and more. Sample your creations at the end of the session in traditional Lao house (Pavilion style) overlooking the wonderful scenery and rice fields. 

The rest of day is free at leisure.
